NEW! Bovec Sport Center is organizing a professionally guided one of a kind experience, unique in Slovenia:

“MULTI DIVE Kanin – Bovec - Soča”

This activity is unique in Slovenia and the surrounding area. During the months of March and April, by combining skiing / snowboarding, guided downhill cycling and whitewater rafting, in one day YOU can accomplish the 2000 meter descent from Mt. Kanin (2300 m) to Trnovo ob Soči (300 m). This adventure sport activity is designed for recreational skiers, snowboarders, cyclers and paddlers of average ability.

1. SKIING / SNOWBOARDING: (or just a ride on the cable car)

Description: You will make the first half of the descent from the Kanin ski resort to the cable car B station on your own or accompanied by an experienced local guide. The direction and route will be adjusted according to the snow conditions and your abilities. Most importantly, we will defer to safety! At the B station of the Kanin cable car we will be waiting for you with the mountain bikes for continuing your descent. We will transport your skis / snowboard and other gear to the end of the descent.

Note: On this section it is possible and recommended to hire a ski / board guide!


2. GUIDED MOUNTAINBIKE DESCENT:

Section: From the B station of the Kanin cable car (970 m) to the Soča river entry point Čezsoča (360 m) or Boka (345 m)

Sport: Mountain biking

Duration: Up to one hour

Level of Difficulty: Easy to medium difficulty (depending on the route chosen)

Description: After completing the skiing / boarding section (or after arriving on the cable car) you will refresh yourselves with energy drinks, change clothes as needed and get your bikes and protective gear. After receiving instructions and tips from the mountain bike guide you will descend into the valley along your chosen path. The direction of descent will be adapted for the needs of the least experienced in the group. Our motto is SAFTEY FIRST!

Note: You may ride our FOCUS Black Hills mountain bikes and use our protective equipment, or we can transport your bikes and other gear from the starting point. The use of protective gloves (ski gloves are acceptable) and a cycling helmet are compulsory.


3. GUIDED RAFTING or KAYAK DESCENT on the Soča: 

You have two options: RAFTING or KAYAKING. We recommend the KAYAKING DESCENT option. For this type of trip on the Soča we use a new kind of boat: an inflatable “sit-on-top” kayak. It’s stable, light-weight and very maneuverable -- perfect for complete beginners. Kayaking, just like the other sports up until now (skiing / boarding, mountain biking), is an individual sport which will surely be the “cherry on the top” of your full day of adventure!

Section: A portion of the Soča River, depending on water levels and your group's abilities. The possible sections are:

Kayaking:
- from Čezsoča (360 m) to Srpenica 1 (330 m)

- from Boka (345 m) to Srpenica 2 (320 m)

Rafting:
- from Boka (345 m) to Trnovo ob Soči (300 m)

Sport:  Whitewater paddling.

Duration: Up to two hours

Level of Difficulty: Easy to medium difficulty (depending on the section)

Description: We will mountain bike to the agreed upon river entry point and treat ourselves to a short rest. The main altitude difference, some 1,900 meters, is already behind us! We will slowly prepare ourselves for the kayaking or rafting. After the safety and paddling instructions by the rafting guide or kayak instructor, we will set off on our chosen tour. This will be the climax of the day’s adventure experience! While looking up from the Soča at the mighty, snow-covered Mt. Kanin, you will scarcely believe that YOU were capable of accomplishing such a feat as this! In about an hour and half of whitewater paddling, the goal of descending 2000 meters will be reached! 

Congratulations! You succeeded in accomplishing “MULTI DIVE Kanin – Bovec -- Soča”

for which you will receive a special  diploma!

Note: We provide you with all the necessary sport and protective gear for the water activities! Just bring along a towel and an extra T-shirt.
